OBSESSION: Oscar Resort 2013
May 21, 2012 (New York, NY) - At his show in February, Oscar de la Renta solicited design tips from the audience (remember this post?). At his Resort 2013 presentation, program notes announced that the green and white silk sequin baseball T-shirt he sent down the runway with a gingham skirt in billowy tulle and organza (pictured below) would be available for preorder immediately on TheFancy.com. This is a true testament that Oscar has fully embraced social media and it’s influence.
Out of all of the fabulous ODLR pieces, there is one element of the show that has stuck in my mind since watching live pinning of the pieces from OscarPRGirl on Pinterest. RUNWAY HAIR! The colorful streaks of pink, green, red and purple in the models’ hair were further proof that he has his compass pointed toward the future.
